For the sixth release in the catalog, Chroma taps veteran techno producer Justin Berkovi for an EP of raw funk.
Industry 101 gets things moving with intention. Stripped down, gritty, and abusive, this is techno with a cracked rear-view mirror, shoddy brakes, leaking oil all over the dance-floor.
Adam Jay reinterprets Industry 101 as a large, bass-driven beast, hungry to devour anything that gets in the way of the purpose laid out by the original. Consider this remix the guard dog of Berkovi's original work, snarling and salivating, ready to snap on the crowd at any second.
One Night In The East alludes to a more Eastern Bloc vibe. This 909 workout is dismantled and rebuilt with militaristic precision and aggression.
Start The Metal wraps up the EP with a slightly more hopeful perspective. An appropriate metaphor to the transformation that constantly surrounds us.
